When New Jersey legislature passed the Offshore Wind Economic Development Act yesterday,August 22, 2010, it made New Jersey the third state in the U.S. to get approved for their proposed offshore wind technology construction.
This leads me to the question, at what point is a renewable energy considered a mainsteam technology? Does the acceptance by end-users play a role, or is it a state/local government initative, perhaps is it controled by the big powerhouse companies such as Vestas and GE Energy or utilities?
